Shipping & Returns
Note: MakerPlane is a volunteer-driven organization. We don’t operate at the scale of commercial retailers, and some of our products—particularly avionics—require manual soldering, part sourcing, and assembly.
Returns Policy
Most new, unopened items can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. If the return is due to our error (e.g., you received an incorrect or defective item), we’ll cover the return shipping.
Refunds are typically issued within four weeks of the return being shipped. This estimate includes:
- Transit time to receive your return (5–10 business days)
- Processing time once received (3–5 business days)
- Bank processing time for the refund (5–10 business days)
To start a return, log in to your account, view your order under "Orders", and click "Return Item(s)". We'll notify you via email once the refund has been processed.
Shipping Information
We currently ship to most international destinations. Please note the following policies:
- Free Shipping on orders over $200 USD within North America (United States and Canada)
- International orders are subject to standard shipping rates; no free shipping currently applies
- Seasonal promotions may offer discounted or free shipping—check the banner or product listings for current offers
Shipping costs are calculated based on the item’s weight and delivery location. Item weights are listed on each product page, and shipping costs are automatically estimated at checkout. If your order qualifies for free shipping or a seasonal promotion, those choices will appear during checkout.
Note: To reflect carrier policies, item weights are rounded up to the nearest pound.
Due to the made-to-order nature of certain items—especially avionics—shipping times may vary depending on component availability and build time.
